The 100th commenter is: Deb! Deb wins sock yarn. Hooray! This is very convenient. I'll be seeing Deb on Saturday (unless she pulls a Marcia Brady and says "something suddenly came up.") to pick up my new Ashford Kiwi and will give her the prize yarn then. I must admit I am a little nervous about owning my own wheel. What if I can't learn to spin? What if I completely suck at it, or worse, don't like spinning? Highly unlikely, but now that I said it, it's off my chest and I'm free. Now I am getting excited. Wooot!
Argosy measures 37inches or thereabout. What a gorgeous day for photographing WIPs outdoors. I really want to finish Argosy this weekend.
In yesterday's mail I got my March 2007 yarn from the Spunky Sock Club. So lovely, so springy. These colors are excellent. It's called Dandy Lion.
Next up is the Fleece Artist Sea Wool from Pick-Up Sticks. Colorway is Parrot. Pick Up Sticks shipping is super hero fast! Wow, it got here quickly! This yarn has sea cell in it and supposedly it's magical and soft and will give you the powers of the ocean. Maybe not but it's supposed to be awesome soft yarn. That's good enough for me.
Must go & sew the side seam on Poppy. I just realized today that I haven't completed a single thing this month (except 2 washclothes). I am a slow ass knitter.

I <3 argosy... have fun seeming Poppy. sea cell sock yarn... did I miss this anouncement??

Ooooh, the sock yarn with seacell sounds really interesting. Do post a review when you can! And as for spinning, if you really decide you don't like it (which I highly doubt) you can totally get your money back on the wheel by selling it. They don't depreciate (or so I've been told).

I bought some Sea Sock yarn a month or two ago, but need to get Mom's birthday socks finished first . . . I really need to knit socks FASTER!
And, you're going to love spinning. The Kiwi's getting all excited, too! And, you know, I've never taught anyone to spin, but I'm more than willing to at least try to give you a lesson on Saturday. I mean, it's only fair that I try, right?
My head, incidentally, is still reeling at winning your contest. Small World we've got going here!!

"...am a slow ass knitter." Unfortunately, I resemble that remark! :-) You are so lucky to have someone give you spinning lessons. Especially Deb who produces very lovely yarn. I'm still working on getting my spinning to be semi-successful.
